Artist duo SAKKO, formed by contemporary dancer Alina Sakko and visual artist Elisa Sakko, has worked together since 2021 with contemporary dance and installation. Drainage Area is a work about power and water. It was premiered in Rauma Lace Week 2026.
The water flowing in the drainage basin comes mainly from rain, but also includes meltwater from the previous winter, water from melting glaciers, and springs formed from groundwater. Drainage basins can form a hierarchical system as the small drainage basins drain into a new gully or a lake, forming a larger entity.
