So far I have been particularly interested in how space is defined, how I perceive it to be defined by the material. Also, the weight that exists in between and how the different materials make me move.

Working with was a changing installation and a performative, shared workspace. For one week I worked at Asbestos Art Space, focusing on the communication between materials: me, the space and the materials I brought from my studio and from outside.

During the whole year, I’d been exploring different levels and ways of communication by working in various environments, like the beach, a wasteland, the nearby forest and a drying room. Returning to the same places, I observed the continuity, pauses and repetitions of movement. I moved around in different ways and interacted with the material, striving for mutual communication.

My week at Asbestos Art Space was a continuation of this and part of my ongoing project which was later exhibited in Galleria Huuto and Galleria 3H+K as all-in-between.
